Defend Forgotten America Applauds Florida Medicaid Funding Approval

Following a decision by the Florida Legislative Budget Commission to approve more than $10 billion in federal funding for the state’s Medicaid program, Jenn Pellegrino, Founder and President of Defend Forgotten America, released the following statement:

“CMS approval of vital Medicaid funding for Florida is another Trump administration win for fiscal responsibility.

Local Provider Participation Funds are essential tools to keep rural and small-urban hospitals open and property taxes low.

We are grateful for the leadership of President Donald J. Trump and his administration’s commitment to common-sense fiscal responsibility and protecting rural and small-urban communities – priorities that should guide every major funding decision.

Defend Forgotten America will continue to fight for reforms that put patients and taxpayers first, not bureaucrats in Washington.”

About Defend Forgotten America (DFA): Defend Forgotten America was founded by former America First Policy Institute spokesperson Jenn Pellegrino to ensure that federal bureaucrats and D.C. insiders hear from the heartland. Our mission is to give working Americans a voice—to ensure that their needs and stories make their way to Washington. We believe DC health policies should reflect community needs and realities for those in rural and small urban America, supporting fiscal innovation and creative solutions that protect rural and small urban communities and help them thrive.
